The Day for Change Foundation
Day for
Change (in Dutch) believes that microcredit is an
effective tool in the struggle against poverty, because it is based
on the strength of people in developing countries. Day for Change
wants to help people help themselves by making microcredit and
financial services accessible. The starting point for this is the
education of Dutch children and youngsters and their outlook on the
world. The actions of Day for Change inspire them to earn money
with their own initiatives. The proceeds fully accrue to
entrepreneurs in developing countries through microfinancing.
Marcel Willems, partner in our Corporate Law
group, is secretary of the General Board and provides legal
assistance to Day for Change.
On Monday 11 October 2010, Day for Change started a new
campaign under the motto ‘Be an entrepreneur for one day
in your life so you can give another person an independent
