Street*Athletics
The objective of the Street*Athletics project is to spread the
Olympic idea of sport and fraternization among young people in the
Netherlands. In the year 2009 the Netherlands is bubbling over with
sports and creative talent in street sports and subcultures. This
new generation is characterized by international and professional
ambitions at an Olympic level.
Kennedy Van der Laan enables the initiators of the
Street*Athletics project - assisted by ambassadors from these
street sports cultures - to use the highest extent of
professionalism when approaching potential partners, such as the
NOC*NSF, various government ministries, municipal authorities and
sponsors in the private sector, in order to realize the
Street*Athletics tour and the construction of the Street*Prolympics
stadium.
