Roetz-Bikes: our new office bicycles
On 1 December 2011, Mark Groot Wassink and Tiemen ter Hoeven
(the founders of Roetz-Bikes) presented the employees of Kennedy
Van der Laan with six new office bicycles of Roetz-Bikes.
Roetz-Bikes makes sustainable bikes without making concessions to
quality, workmanship and appearance. A Roetz-Bike consists of
recycled bicycle parts, supplemented by natural materials. They are
robust city bikes with a retro look. In short: a bike that becomes
our firm in terms of ideology and appearance. In a short time,
Roetz-Bikes has grown into a business with 20 sales points
throughout the Netherlands. It has been nominated for the Bicycle
Innovation Award 2012. The production of Roetz-Bikes is based, to
an important extent, on cooperation with sheltered workshops. This
way, they create jobs in the Netherlands and limit transportation
distances. Kennedy Van der Laan is the first company that has
bought office bicycles from Roetz-Bikes.
