Van der Woude Joins Insurance and Liability Group of Kennedy Van der Laan

Frits van der Woude has joined Kennedy Van der Laan as
a partner. Van der Woude (49), a specialist in the field of
professional liability and insurance law, joins the Insurance and
Liability Group of the law firm.

After studying economics (HEAO), law and notarial law, Van der
Woude made a career in the insurance sector, where he fulfilled
several legal and director's positions. He worked as an advisor
to law firms, civil law notaries and accounting firms operating
nationally and internationally. In 2003 he switched to the legal
profession and joined the law firm Boekel de Nerée. The practice of
Van der Woude is directed at insurance law, regulation of
insurances, the drafting and development of terms and conditions of
insurance and the handling of liability issues.
With the arrival of Van der Woude, the Insurance and
Liability Group has five partners and holds a prominent
position in the Dutch market. "The practice of Van der Woude
forms a perfect addition to our current activities", says
Chris van Dijk, partner and head of the Insurance and Liability
Group. "We were already strong in the fields of general
liability, technical damages, personal injury, class actions,
medical liability, product liability and insurance and policy law.
