Richard Neerhof

Richard Neerhof is senior university lecturer of constitutional and administrative law at VU University. In 1989 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and in 1995 he obtained his doctorate at the same University.

After his doctorate Richard worked as a lecturer and researcher at the universities of Utrecht, Maastricht and Groningen and as senior advisor at a reputable consultancy in the field of environmental law.

Richard publishes in the fields of general administrative law, environmental law and government liability law, and regularly advises people in these fields. At VU University he teaches (including in postgraduate continuing university education (PAO) in the fields of general administrative law and construction and spatial administrative law. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the research centre "VU University Amsterdam Centre for Law and Governance", in which civil lawyers and administrative lawyers cooperate. Richard serves on the committee treating notices of objection of the Zuid district of Amsterdam and is an editor to the Kluwer book series "Bestuursrecht in praktijk".

Richard Neerhof acts as an advisor to the Administrative and Environmental Law Practice Group of Kennedy Van der Laan.
