Soo-ja Schijf

Soo-ja Schijf has been working in the Employment Law Group of Kennedy Van der Laan since 2007. She studied law at Utrecht University and the University of Victoria (Canada).

Soo-ja's practice covers all aspects of employment law and is particularly focused on offering advice on employment-law issues touching on corporate law. These issues are, inter alia, dealing with the employment-law consequences of mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and business restructuring, reorganizations, employee co-governance and the position of managing directors. The majority of her clients are national and international companies, but she also assists private individuals. In 2010 Soo-ja was seconded to a British law firm in London, where she was involved in the international advisory practice and in various (international) employment law proceedings.

Soo-ja is secretary of the Commission of Complaints of the GBF (graphics industry funds). She is also a member of the Employment Law Association and the Privacy Law Association.
