Alfred Meijboom
Alfred Meijboom is a partner in both intellectual property and
information technology law at Kennedy Van der Laan. He is one of
the firm's founders.
Alfred was the first principal lecturer at the Grotius Academy
in the area of information technology law for more than 10 years,
and served as a member of the Complaints and Appeal Board of the
Netherlands Naming Authority SIDN for the maximum period of six
years. He is an editor of the Dutch-Belgian IT law review
Computerrecht, is a qualified arbitrator for the Netherlands
Foundation for the Resolution of Computer-related Disputes, and
panelist for WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre for generic top
level domains and .nl domain name disputes, as well as the Czech
Arbitration Court for .eu domain name disputes.
He co-founded the Netherlands Association of specialized IT
attorneys (VIRA) and is a member of a number of various
professional associations. He also teaches at the Faculty of Law of
the Free University of Amsterdam.
