Johan Pel
Johan Pel studied Dutch and International law at the University
of Amsterdam. He has been an attorney since 1988 and on 1 May 2009
he joined Kennedy Van der Laan as a partner.
Johan's principal area of expertise is general employment
law, with a focus on the law of collective and individual
redundancies and international employment law. He acts on behalf of
both employers and employees. Johan is furthermore an NMI Certified
Mediator and in this capacity he handles both employment law
matters and other business disputes. Johan regularly publishes on
employment law and/or mediation topics. He was consulted as an
expert on the contents of the fifth version of the Stecr Werkwijzer
Arbeidsconflicten (best practice for companydoctors in case of
disputes in the workplace), published in February 2010.
