Telecommunications
Kennedy Van der Laan is a major force in the telecommunications
legal market in The Netherlands as it represents the second largest
provider of mobile telecommunications services in the Netherlands,
the challenger to the former monopoly incumbent. From this
position, our attorneys are at the center of all developments in
telecommunications law and regulations and play a key role in much
of the ground-breaking litigation.
Our telecommunications practice also extends to fixed-line
telephony, carrier-select services, and cable telephony. We
represent not only providers of telecommunication services but
large corporate users, particularly in acquiring telecommunications
services and in disputes with telecommunication providers.
Technical and commercial convergence of telecommunications,
media and information technology is a fact. The convergence is both
the result of and is expressed in the changing and overlapping
media and in the digitalization of information and content
distribution.
Kennedy Van der Laan combines our strongly developed expertise in
all of the converging markets, technologies, and areas of legal
expertise in an attorney team with the knowledge and experience to
give cutting edge legal advice backed by practical knowledge of
each of the markets and the underlying technology.
